Summers are my favourite and I can’t wait already! Though there’s a mild disappointment in the trends for Spring/Summer ’19, I’m hoping to see more interesting ones crop up as the sunny days arrive. Much and much of these you can pull out from your wardrobe, a few things you can add new!
Here’s a look at a few trends that took over the ramp-
Fabrics :
Fishnet – Yes! Get those big net fabrics out, layer or wear simple. This is a fun and quirky trend to don this spring!
Lace – This dainty fabric can be used in so many ways! Capes, dresses, skirts and tops! Pile up all your lacey outfits this summer.
Fringe – Fringe is back! Like every summer this particular trend is a thing! Try long fringe for a change on dresses and skirts.
Crochet – Another one like the lace, you’ll never see a summer without this airy fabric, that goes so well as a cover up and throw.
Light Denim – Like the good old days, dig out your acid wash-ish, light denim outfits to make a statement this season!
Colours :
Yellow – With the oncoming of the sun, get those sunny hues into your wardrobe too! Golden and yellow, head to toe is actually a thing! Try it 🙂
Neon – Yay, we get to take these fun colours into the summers too! Keep those neon dresses and polos handy.
Beige – This neutral shade is so well to our with all the above trends for a mellow yet fun look. Get your basics in beige!
Fruits – These colours are so much fun to wear! Think, a little mix of neon, pastel and bright shades, all of them come together to give you these yummy hues you can wear all summer long!
Prints :
Scarf Print – Another trend that you won’t have to discard, this one took the fashion scene with a rage, and it will continue!
Polka – With the continuing 70’s trends, the polka is a carry forward into the next season. Try big, bold polka dots for a statement look.
Psychedelic – Get your hippie side out with this quirky and colourful print. Try dresses and skirts or sophisticated dresses in this print and obviously lots of colours.
Silhouettes :
Suits – I personally think the suits never go out of fashion, only this time try them in the yellow or fruity shades. Add a hint of
Boiler Suits – I’m really excited for this particular trend, I’ve strayed away from boiler suits a lot back in the day but now I’m ready to experiment with these!
Extravagant Dresses – Bring on those doll like dresses! Wear these amazing dresses with frills and ruffles in prints and colours!
Cycling Shorts – Yup, the shorts are not going anywhere! Continue wearing these oh-so-comfy cycling shorts through out spring summer.
Accessories :
Hats – Protect yourself from those rays, with flouncy, big hats!
Bows – Maybe add a touch of bows to your extravagant dresses or hats.
Big Bags – Pair all your outfits with statement totes!
Feathers – Add drama to all the looks with feathers on basically anything.
So go ahead, try all of these gorgeous trends and take over the spring summer season!
